Sandboarding and Whale Watch Cruise Combos
The whales are here and we have the perfect sandboarding & whale watching value combo!
Port Stephens enjoys a fantastic whale season from mid-May to early November. And the crew from Moonshadow – TQC Cruises offer a great whale watching cruise that departs from Nelson Bay, Port Stephens 7 days a week. You will never forget seeing the awesome bulk of a Humpback whale, up to 18 metres long and weighing 40 tonnes! Being the most surface active of all the whales, it is highly likely that you will see spectacular displays – spy hops, pectoral slaps, body rolls and … the breathtaking breach. Get up close and personal with the Whales!
4WD Tours R Us at Sandboarding Australia have teamed up with some great Port Stephens operators to bring you the ‘best experiences of Port Stephens’ including Moonshadow – TQC where we have combined both sandboarding and whale watching packages.
How to book?
Head over to our website by clicking here
You will be prompted to select sandboarding time upon completion of booking.
(Please note that you will be directed to Moonshadow – TQC website to make bookings and payment for combos tickets.)
Where are we located?
Our beach office is set up at the very end of James Paterson Street Anna Bay, Port Stephens, you can’t miss our eye-catching ‘zebra’ truck and bright green and jet black custom-built transport vehicles ready to give you the experience of a lifetime!
Tell me about the dunes!
The dunes stretch 32 kilometres, that’s the entire length of Stockton Beach and can reach over 30 metres high. The views alone are spectacular. Once on the dunes, our team will give you a rundown on a sandboard and how to use our hand made custom designed boards for maximum speed (and safety!)
How many times can slide?
You can climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your sandboard, slide on down, then repeat until you are too exhausted to do it anymore! Your ticket includes unlimited sandboarding (or unlimited fun!) so you can stay and play as long as you like. For most people that’s about 1 – 1.5 hours. When you are done just jump back aboard our 4WD buses (they leave every half an hour) to be taken back to the Birubi Beach starting point.
And while you are here check out the free whale talk by whale expert & ‘Pride of Australia’ Medal-winner, Jeannie Lawson. She will be telling stories around these majestic creatures as well as help you to spot the humpbacks as they venture north to warmer waters. A community BBQ will be run on the day.
The talks are at 10.30, 11.30, 12.30 & 1.30 or click here for all the information.
Come along to our FREE talks at BARRY PARK, Fingal Bay on Sunday 23rd June where we will help you spot the humpbacks!
Don’t forget your, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera as you’ll want to take lots of photos. Let your adventure in Port Stephens begin this winter!
